(CHICAGO, IL) – The Westin Chicago Northwest, located in Itasca, IL, is undergoing an extensive renovation to enhance the overall guest experience, whether that guest is staying for business or pleasure. The Westin Chicago Northwest aims to outshine the list of standard hotel amenities by updating the hotel in its entirety, including all guest rooms, dining areas, and lobby. Post-renovation, the property will feature a modern interior landscape inspired by the nature surrounding the hotel, with unique, stylish décor. In addition, the property will boast a Towne Square and Grab & Go Café to make guests’ stay not only more pleasant, but more convenient as well.

GF Management, a leading national hotel ownership and management company purchased the 408 guest room Westin Chicago Northwest, through an affiliate in April 2015.  “This extensive renovation, along with the implementation of our proven management system will elevate this hotel to the leader in its market” said Jeffrey Kolessar, Senior Vice President Development and Acquisitions for GF Management. GF Management now owns and/or asset manages five premiere properties within the Starwood Hotels and Resorts portfolio, consisting of over 1,300 guest rooms and suites.

The new lobby will feature updated furniture, paint, flooring, and decor, all inspired by the hotel’s natural scenery. Guests can utilize this space to come together to meet, connect, or relax. The new Grab & Go Café is perfect for guests who would like to get a quick bite or beverage before a busy day. Located just outside the Grab & Go Café is the study area available for guests to work or relax. Complimentary internet access is available throughout the entire lobby.

All on-site dining spaces at The Westin Chicago Northwest will also be renovated. Guests will have plenty of options when it comes to dining—they can have a drink at the bar, plan a private party in the casual private dining room or gather with friends and colleagues for a more upscale experience in the fine dining area. The fine dining area will feature a darker palate with deeper hues to set the tone of the night, and will also include a bar and private dining rooms. The casual dining area seats 127, including additional private dining options and will feature a lighter palate for a more relaxed tone, complimenting an upscale, contemporary look.

All guest rooms and bathrooms in the Westin Chicago Northwest are being completely renovated to include first-class amenities. Each room will now feature updated furniture, lighting, artwork, and decor, including a new 42” television. Guest room amenities include a media center, work lounge, closet, vanity, and guest area. The bathrooms will also be updated with a new shower system, flooring, and decor. The palate includes lighter, earthy tones that match the natural, relaxed setting of the property. The contemporary furniture and decor create a rich layered experience for guests.

The renovations at the Westin Chicago Northwest will create an urban oasis, inspired by the area’s natural setting and historical context. Guests are able to connect back to nature through the meandering paths and hidden sanctuaries located on site.
