WOODFIELD CHICAGO NORTHWEST CONVENTION BUREAU TEAMING UP TO SUPPORT W.I.N.G.S THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
Donations being accepted to aid abused Women & Children’s Shelter.
Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau is adding social responsibility to the task of tourism promotion and marketing, by teaming up to support WINGS this holiday season. Through collections of desperately needed items, we are helping WINGS continue their mission in these challenging times.
The mission of WINGS (Women in Need Getting Stronger) is to provide a continuum of integrated services in an effort to end homelessness and domestic violence one family at a time. For more than two decades, WINGS has helped homeless and abused women and children with transitional and emergency shelter, along with integrated services that meet their unique needs for housing, education, guidance, and support.
To help bring some joy to the women and children spending their holidays in a WINGS shelter or safehouse, we are asking for your help in donating items they desperately need, as well as items that would brighten their holiday, such as a new unwrapped toy or gift.
Some of the everyday items desperately needed are:
Laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, toilet tissue, kitchen supplies & utensils, hand & bath towels, twin sheets, blankets & comforters, pajamas, nightgowns, & robes.
Gift cards & certificates, phone cards, bus/train passes, and monetary donations are welcome, and needed as well.
You can send or drop off your items to the Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau office, located at:

8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
Donations will be accepted through Friday, December 18th.
