Woodfield Trolleys make shopping an experience to savor in Chicago Northwest

With Jack-o-lanterns and ghosts put to sleep for the year, thoughts of Christmas trees and gifts fill my head. Fortunately, The Woodfield Shopping Trolley makes it not only easy, but also delightful. A brand-new fleet of ADA-accessible trolleys ties together shopping, dining and entertainment. For free. Depending on who I’m shopping for, the trolley experience can become an event—a relaxed solo outing, a date with my husband or an excursion for the family.

Door-to-door shopping There’s no way I could visit as many shopping centers on my own as quickly than with the trolley. Schaumburg is a community of good neighbors and neighborhoods. It also has one of the highest economic development rates in Illinois. This leads to prime shopping spots for gifts for everyone on my list.

The holiday atmosphere is contagious on the trolley as it travels through its nine stops, including:

Cute dishes for my college freshman daughter at IKEA. A charm bracelet for my best friend from Alex and Ani at the Woodfield Mall. A trendy purse for my mother-in-law at Marshalls. And a new soccer ball for my 15-year-old daughter from Dick’s Sporting Goods. All achievable without taking my car out of park.

At the Woodfield Village Green, I can stop at ULTA for new makeup and hit Nordstrom Rack for discounts on clothing from brands including Kate Spade and Michael Kors. I can even stop at Costco for pumpkin pie on the way home. The route is, in a word, convenient.

More than shopping Beyond shopping, the diverse activities on the route keep everyone in the group happy. LEGOLAND Discovery Center, GameWorks and Laugh Out Loud provide entertainment in the Chicagoland’s premier shopping district. Dinner is simple with options such as Chipotle and Big Bowl. And why not end the night with a movie at Loews Streets of Woodfield?

So often, holiday errands take me away from my family and add bulk to my usual list of chores. With Schaumburg, it’s easy to turn a menial task into a memorable event. The Chicagoland’s premier shopping district offers free parking for those who opt to drive, and the trolley runs every 15-30 minutes during the holidays.
